Dr. Adam Lauver joined the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology as an Assistant Professor in November 2016. He earned a BS in Biology from Penn State University in 2001 and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan in 2007. His research interests in cardiovascular pharmacology originate from time spent working in the pharmaceutical industry. Even now while leading an academic research group, drug discovery and development remain a core focus. Adam has taught cardiovascular pharmacology at virtually every level (undergraduate, graduate, nursing, medical and veterinary students). He takes pride in his teaching style and continually works to improve his method. Dr. Lauver has assembled a hardworking research team whose diverse backgrounds and skills create a dynamic atmosphere of learning and discovery.
